Enshrouded leaves Early Access: 1.0 opens Cinder's Cradle and ends the story
Enshrouded 1.0 released on October 15, 2026, ending Early Access for Keen Games’ survival action RPG. Early Access owners on PC do not need to buy it again.
What 1.0 adds, per Keen Games’ own changelog:
- Cinder’s Cradle, a new northern biome past the now-open gates beyond the Veilwater Basin — lava wastes below and floating islands built by the Ancients above, guarded by a new faction with 14 new enemy types and holding 12 new Shroud Roots.
- The end of the main story, with a final boss “high up in the sky”.
- A higher ceiling: the level cap rises to 50 and gear upgrades to 55. A new Flame level (raising the Flame Altar limit to 15) is unlocked before Cinder’s Cradle, with another teased for beating the final threat. A new survivor specialising in Ancient knowledge joins your base.
- The whole map opened: the Hollow Halls in the Albaneve Summits and Veilwater Basin, new areas toward the edges of the Springlands, Blackmire and Kindlewastes (6 more Shroud Roots), and long-locked structures in older biomes that the main quest now leads into.
- Magic and combat: 9 new kinds of spell, eternal versions of every spell, upgradeable eternal spells and arrows, summonable skeletons, and an expanded wand moveset.
- A reworked early game: more chests in the Springlands and Revelwood, clearer roads, reworked crafting recipes to cut the grind, and a gentler Albaneve Summits boss with a new melee window.
- Sparkworks, a logic system for building your own puzzles, traps and encounters, plus full voice acting for lore and major survivors in English, German and Mandarin Chinese.
Your Early Access save
Early Access saves carry over and are converted to a new format, but the skill tree is reset the first time you load one, so spend your points again. Because the world and the first hours changed so much, Keen Games strongly encourages starting a new game. Early Access players also get three exclusive decorative props from the “Redeem Add-Ons” button. Cross-platform play is not available at launch.
Our progression route
Our Enshrouded progression route has been replayed from a fresh 1.0 world and re-verified. It now runs through a new Stage 7 — Cinder’s Cradle, covering the Flame level you need first, the two new Hollow Halls, the edge areas and the final boss, with the endgame updated for the level 50 cap.
