Daily29

Everything here rolls over at 00:00 UTC. Only the first group is genuinely daily-limited in the way an MMO player expects — the rest is either an accrual, a timer that is faster than a day, or a perk you can only use if you have earned the item that grants it.

Daily reward claims

The closest thing OSRS has to conventional dailies. Almost all of them scale with an Achievement Diary tier, so the quantity you get depends on how far you have taken that region's diary — tick the ones you have unlocked and ignore the rest. Several are worth far more to an Ironman than to a main. ⚠️ ZAFF IS THE ONE ENTRY HERE THAT IS EASY TO GET WRONG, and the earlier version of this list did. His SHOP STOCK (5 at a time, restocking one a minute) and the VARROCK DIARY DAILY ALLOWANCE (15/30/60/120) are two separate systems, and reading the shop stock as "5 per day" invents a daily limit that does not exist while hiding that the real daily benefit requires a diary. Corrected in-game Aug 26 2026.

  • Buy your daily discounted battlestaves from Zaff
Zaff’s Superior Staffs, Varrock. 7,000 gp each, noted. ⚠️ THE DAILY ALLOWANCE COMES ENTIRELY FROM THE VARROCK DIARY — 15 (easy), 30 (medium), 60 (hard) or 120 (elite) — and it resets at 00:00 UTC. WITHOUT A DIARY THERE IS NO DAILY ALLOCATION AT ALL: the 5 staves people associate with Zaff are simply his ordinary shop stock, which holds 5 at a time and restocks one a minute, so it is not a daily limit and not a discount worth tracking here. Access to his stock at all needs What Lies Below taken past the King Roald fight — the quest does NOT have to be finished. If the diary allowance has not appeared after reset, hop worlds or log out and back in.
Reward 15–120 noted battlestaves a day at below market price, by diary tier
  • Collect 84 buckets of sand from Bert
Bert in Yanille. Requires The Hand in the Sand. With the elite Ardougne Diary and the toggle enabled, Bert delivers straight to your bank when you log in — Ultimate Ironmen cannot receive the bank delivery.
    Reward 84 buckets of sand
  • Collect free pure essence from Wizard Cromperty
Wizard Cromperty, East Ardougne. 100 with the medium Ardougne Diary, 150 with hard, 250 with elite. Mainly an Ironman supply line.
    Reward 100–250 pure essence
  • Exchange noted flax for bow strings with the Flax Keeper
Flax Keeper, Kandarin. 30 with the easy Kandarin Diary, 60 with medium, 120 with hard, 250 with elite. This is an exchange, not a handout — you supply the flax.
    Reward 30–250 bow strings
  • Collect free ogre arrows from Rantz
Rantz, Feldip Hills. 25 with the easy Western Provinces Diary, 50 with medium, 100 with hard, 150 with elite.
    Reward 25–150 ogre arrows
  • Claim free random runes from Lundail
Lundail, Mage Arena in the Wilderness. 40 with the easy Wilderness Diary, 80 with medium, 120 with hard, 200 with elite. Older guides still quote 10/20/30/50 — those figures predate the 2023 change and are wrong.
    Reward 40–200 assorted runes
  • Claim dynamite from Thirus
Thirus Urkar, Lovakengj. 20 with the medium Kourend & Kebos Diary, 40 with hard, 80 with elite.
    Reward 20–80 dynamite
  • Use Robin's bonemeal service
Robin, The Green Ghost inn, Port Phasmatys. 13 bones with Morytania legs 2, 26 with legs 3, 39 with legs 4. He returns bonemeal plus the matching buckets of slime.
Reward 13–39 bonemeal and buckets of slime — Ectofuntus fuel
  • Buy herb boxes from the Nightmare Zone reward chest
Nightmare Zone, Yanille. Up to 15 per day at 9,500 NMZ points each. Ironmen cannot buy them.
Reward Up to 15 herb boxes

Managing Miscellania — daily accrual, not a daily claim

This is here so it is not forgotten, not because it needs doing every day. Requires Throne of Miscellania; Royal Trouble improves it substantially. Resources accrue on their own roughly every 24 hours and coins leave the coffer as your subjects work — approval decays daily, far more slowly once Royal Trouble is done. Checking every few days, or weekly, is the sane way to run it.

  • Keep Miscellania approval and the coffer topped up
Miscellania, and Etceteria after Royal Trouble. Around 500,000 gp in the coffer for maximum output, or 750,000 gp with Royal Trouble completed. Collect from your subjects whenever you next visit.
Reward Passive resources chosen by which subjects you assign

Recurring timers — not daily-limited

None of these are once-per-day content; every one runs on its own growth or availability clock and several can be done many times a day. They sit in the Daily bucket as a once-a-day PROMPT, because that is what stops a run going untouched — the bucket is the tracking interval, not a claim about the cadence (§35b). Farming is written as one task on purpose: nobody runs all eight patch types, they pick.

  • rebalancedRun your birdhouses when the cycle is up
Fossil Island, roughly a 50-minute cycle depending on setup. Needs Bone Voyage and the Hunter and Crafting levels for the tier you are running.
Reward Bird nests and Hunter XP
  • Run whichever farming patches are ready
Pick from herb, allotment and flower, hops, bush, tree, fruit tree, hardwood tree and special tree runs, plus your Farming Contract and Hespori when it has grown. Each patch type has its own growth timer, so a run is ready when it is ready — not at reset.
Reward Herbs, logs, fruit, Farming XP and contract rewards
  • Check the Port Task noticeboards while training Sailing
Any port noticeboard. The available tasks rotate on the daily refresh and also refresh once you clear enough from that board, so the XP and rewards are not daily-capped — this was designed deliberately to avoid forcing a daily chore.
Reward Sailing XP and port rewards

Achievement Diary daily perks — optional

Tier-gated conveniences rather than chores, and nobody has all of them. Tick only what your diaries have unlocked, and note that several stop being worth tracking at the top tier because elite makes the teleport unlimited. These are grouped away from the claims above on purpose: forgetting a free teleport costs you a minute, forgetting your battlestaves costs you a day.

  • Use the Ardougne cloak farm patch teleports
Ardougne cloak 2 gives 3 per day, cloak 3 gives 5. Cloak 4 makes it unlimited, at which point stop tracking it.
Reward Free teleports to the Ardougne farm patch
  • Use the Falador shield Prayer restore
Shield 1 restores 25% once a day, shield 2 restores 50% once, shield 3 restores 100% once, shield 4 restores 100% twice. Worth deliberately banking for long Prayer-limited fights such as the Inferno.
    Reward Free Prayer restoration
  • Use the Fremennik sea boots Rellekka teleport
Sea boots 2 and 3 give 1 free Rellekka teleport per day. The elite rewards remove most of the Fremennik travel friction outright.
    Reward Free teleport to Rellekka
  • Use the Kandarin headgear daily perks
Kandarin headgear 3 gives 1 free Sherlock teleport per day. The hard Kandarin Diary also lets you skip one Barbarian Assault wave per day.
Reward Free Sherlock teleport; one BA wave skip
  • Use Rada's blessing Mount Karuulm teleports
Rada's blessing 3 gives 3 per day; elite makes Mount Karuulm unlimited. Lower tiers also grant limited Kourend Woodland teleports before later tiers uncap them.
Reward Free teleports to Mount Karuulm
  • Use the Explorer's ring 4 run energy restores
Explorer's ring 4, from the elite Lumbridge & Draynor Diary. Restores 100% run energy 3 times a day.
Reward Three full run energy restores
  • Use the Explorer's ring free alchemy casts
Explorer's ring 1 with the easy Lumbridge & Draynor Diary and 21 Magic casts Low Level Alchemy 30 times a day. Explorer's ring 4 casts High Level Alchemy 30 times a day, needing the normal Magic level. Both use no runes and grant no Magic XP.
Reward 30 free alchemy casts — saves 30 nature runes a day
  • Use the Morytania legs Slime Pit teleports
Morytania legs 2 give 5 Slime Pit teleports per day; higher tiers improve the associated travel.
Reward Free teleports to the Slime Pit
  • Use the Wilderness sword Fountain of Rune teleport
Wilderness sword 3 gives 1 per day. Sword 4 makes it unlimited.
Reward Free teleport to the Fountain of Rune
  • Use the Western banner Piscatoris teleport
Western banner 3 gives 1 Piscatoris Fishing Colony teleport per day; elite makes it unlimited.
    Reward Free teleport to Piscatoris
  • Keep the Zulrah resurrection available
Elite Western Provinces Diary. One resurrection at Zulrah per day, and it does not count as an unsafe death for Hardcore Ironman status — which makes spending it carelessly expensive.
Reward One free resurrection at Zulrah
  • Keep the TzHaar Fight Cave resurrection available
Elite Karamja Diary, and you must have obtained a fire cape at least once. One resurrection in the Fight Cave per day.
Reward One free resurrection in the Fight Cave

99 skill perks — daily cape abilities

Only a handful of skillcapes have a daily-limited ability worth tracking at all. Every one of these needs level 99 in that skill, so this group is empty for most accounts and is deliberately kept out of the default daily routine.

  • Use the Agility cape run energy restore
99 Agility. Fully restores run energy once a day and grants a stamina-potion effect for a minute alongside it.
Reward Full run energy plus one minute of stamina effect
  • Use the Magic cape spellbook swaps
99 Magic. Change between unlocked spellbooks up to 5 times a day.
    Reward Five free spellbook changes
  • Use the Fletching cape grapple search
99 Fletching. Search for a bronze crossbow and mith grapple up to 3 times a day.
Reward 3 bronze crossbows and 3 mith grapples
  • Use the Hunter cape chinchompa teleports
99 Hunter. Teleport to the carnivorous chinchompas in the Feldip Hunter area or the black chinchompas in the Wilderness, up to 5 times a day.
    Reward Five free chinchompa teleports
Weekly1

Old School RuneScape has no weekly reset instant. There is no Wednesday-style boundary where the game clears everyone's lockouts at once, because almost nothing in OSRS is lockout-gated — most content can simply be farmed indefinitely. This bucket therefore does not auto-clear; use its Clear button when you have played. PvP world rota and PvP Arena loadouts do rotate weekly, but those are Jagex rotating the servers, not tasks you complete, so they get no checkbox here — the current rota and loadout are published in each week's update post.

Tears of Guthix

Old School RuneScape is genuinely a weekly activity here — Jagex says once a week — but there is NO SHARED WEEKLY INSTANT for it. The seven days count from each player’s own last completion, so it is a per-character cooldown wearing a weekly shape. That is why this list cannot auto-clear it: an auto-uncheck needs one instant that is true for everybody, and this has none. ⚠️ Do NOT read "no shared reset" as "not weekly" — both halves matter, and the earlier wording leaned too hard on the second. Same principle as EVE’s Epic Arcs (PROJECT_HISTORY §56): if it is not one instant for everyone, it is not a reset — but it can still be weekly.

  • Play Tears of Guthix
Juna, in the cave beneath Lumbridge Swamp. Requires the Tears of Guthix quest, and at least 1 quest point or 100,000 experience gained since your last visit. ⚠️ THIS IS A PERSONAL, ROLLING WEEK, NOT A SHARED ONE: Jagex describes it as playable once a week, and the seven days run from YOUR last completion — so two players are eligible on different days, and nothing about it lines up with a server boundary.
Reward Experience in your lowest-levelled skill, scaled by how many tears you collect
Monthly0

No recurring monthly reset activities currently exist in Old School RuneScape. The heading is kept so the buckets read the same across every game on the site. Nothing here is an oversight: Miscellania, farming, birdhouses, Slayer, bosses, raids, Combat Achievements, clue scrolls, Achievement Diaries and Sailing port tasks are all on their own clocks or on no clock at all, and turning any of them into a monthly task would be inventing a lockout the game does not have.

Your progress here is saved to this browser.  Daily Raider tracks checklists on Android, iOS, macOS and Windows — and we're working on delivering these lists straight into the app, so you never have to build them yourself.
