Granblue Fantasy: Relink — Progression Route
The full path from the Prologue to the Endless Ragnarok endgame — main story and The Conflux run as two tracks that feed each other, and this route keeps them in step.
What this guide is
A run-along checklist, not an article. Granblue Fantasy: Relink has no daily or weekly reset — progress here is permanent for a save, so nothing on this page clears itself. Tick steps off as you play.
The route is not purely linear. From Chapter 6 onward a second progression track — The Conflux — runs alongside the main story, and the two feed each other: each difficulty tier you clear on the main line opens a deeper Conflux Cycle, and each Cycle supplies the materials that carry your main-line progress forward. The pairing is Chapter 6 → Cycle 1, Hard → Cycle 2, Maniac → Cycle 3, then the Endless Ragnarok story → the deeper Cycles. The Conflux stages below are labelled so you can see exactly where the two tracks meet — treat Conflux as a parallel track to dip into for materials, not something to finish before returning to the story.
The efficiency rule the early game is built around: one strong character plus three well-developed AI companions beats a roster spread thin. Pick a main early and invest in that order — main character, then main weapon, then core offensive and defensive Masteries, then your three companions. The full roster is an endgame goal, not an early one.
This route covers the base game and the Endless Ragnarok expansion (Cygames, July 2026), which adds the Fatebreaker grade, Chaos quests, The Conflux, Summons, Primal Bursts, Master Traits, Weapon Transcendence, six playable characters and a new story chapter.

Walkthrough
Verified for Endless Ragnarok — 2.0.4✓ Verified in-game01 — Begin your journey (Prologue → Chapter 1)13
Establish a four-character party and advance the campaign. Do not spend hours farming early equipment — the campaign continually opens better upgrades, so the goal here is momentum, not a build.
Learn the game and pick your team0 / 13
Prioritise main character → main weapon → core offensive and defensive Masteries → your three AI companions. One strong character plus three reasonably developed companions is far more efficient than developing the whole roster.

- Learn Link Attacks and the Link Gauge
- Learn Skybound Arts and Chain Bursts

- Upgrade your main character's weapon as materials allow
- Equip useful sigils rather than chasing an endgame build
02 — Build your core party (Chapters 2–5)10
Keep progressing the campaign rather than stopping to farm. Endless Ragnarok's 2.0.2 update added extra Crewmate Cards to Chapters 5, 6, 8 and 9, so roster expansion is easier than in the original release — but still unlock characters you actually intend to use before spending every card.
Chapters 2–50 / 10
- Complete Chapter 2
- Complete Chapter 3
- Complete Chapter 4
- Complete Chapter 5
- Complete newly available Fate Episodes for your active characters
- Continue unlocking characters with Crewmate Cards
- Keep your main character's weapon upgraded
- Unlock additional weapon slots through Collection Masteries

03 — The Conflux begins (Chapter 6)9
The first place the expansion changes the optimal route. Endless Ragnarok owners should NOT skip this — during Chapter 6, before leaving for Dahli Island, a new side quest appears in Seedhollow. Cygames placed the Conflux unlock here deliberately; you do not need to finish the campaign first.
Reach and clear the Seedhollow side quest0 / 5
- Reach Chapter 6
- Visit Seedhollow
- Find the new Endless Ragnarok side quest
- Complete the side quest
- Continue Chapter 6 afterward
The Conflux · Cycle 10 / 4
The Conflux is Endless Ragnarok's single-player progression mode, and this is where the parallel track opens. Cycle 1 rewards weapon forging materials. Treat it as a parallel track for materials, not a mode to complete before returning to the story.
- Unlock The Conflux — Cycle 1
- Complete your first Cycle 1 run
- Learn how Conflux-specific traits and buffs work
- Use Cycle 1 when you need weapon forging materials
04 — Finish the original campaign7

- Watch the ending

05 — Chapter Ø & Hard / Very Hard progression13
Chapter Ø turns Relink from a campaign RPG into its quest-driven endgame. Priorities become Key Quests → Rank-Up Quests → better gear → the next difficulty, rather than clearing every optional quest immediately.

06 — Build your first Lv. 100 character9
Do not spread resources evenly across 20+ characters. Pick your first true endgame main and finish it. Early endgame traits worth building toward: Damage Cap, Critical Hit Rate, Stamina / Tyranny, Potion Hoarder, Improved Dodge, Aegis / Guts / Autorevive, Quick Cooldown / Cascade. You do not need perfect V+ combinations yet.

08 — Proud & Proto Bahamut11

09 — Terminus weapons8
Historically Proto Bahamut farming was the heart of Relink's weapon endgame. Endless Ragnarok changed this: Terminus weapons can now be forged at the Blacksmith using Ultimate Memory. Get your main sufficiently prepared and move forward — do not delay the expansion just to obtain every Terminus weapon.

- Upgrade it to Lv. 150
- Begin its Awakening progression

- Activate useful Rank 1 traits
- Activate your first Rank Perk

14 — Learn Summons & Primal Bursts8

23 — Build your AI endgame team10
For solo players, one maxed character is not enough — build three strong AI companions. Do not simply copy player-controlled builds onto AI: AI characters benefit disproportionately from reliable survivability and abilities they can use well without manual control. The steps below apply to each of the three.

- Lv. 100
- Strong weapon
- Important Masteries
- Strong sigil setup
- Survivability traits
- Damage Cap support
- Useful skills
- Master Traits
- Weapon Transcendence
- Appropriate Summons
24 — Account-wide endgame13
Once one complete team can comfortably clear the hardest content, shift from vertical progression to roster progression. This is where per-character build guides fit naturally.
