World of Warcraft checklist

Everything in this group opened on August 18. Great Vault thresholds are Raid 2/4/6 bosses, Dungeon 1/4/8 runs and World 2/4/8 activities; Tier 8+ Delves and Nightmare Prey both feed the World row and can reach 305 Hero 1/6 there, and Tidebound Grotto Lair kills count toward the Raid row alongside Venomous Abyss bosses. Tier 8 is the Delve breakpoint the whole loop turns on — Tiers 9–11 do not raise the base Bountiful chest or the normal World Vault item level.

• Complete your Nightmare Prey Hunts

  Nightmare is the Season 2 difficulty. The first two Hunts each week carry the Preyseeker gear rewards; Hunts also supply Coffer Key Shards and feed the World row of the Great Vault. 12.1.5 CATCH-UP: below Prey rank 4, every Hunt grants a full rank (4,000 Journey progress); from rank 4 to 9, your first four Hunts a week give 2,000 each. Afflicted and Tormented Souls can now only be used between hunts, not during one

  The weekly Coffer Key Shard cap converts to 6 Restored Coffer Keys. Spend them on Bountiful Delve end-chests at Tier 8 or higher, where the chest is a guaranteed piece rather than a roll on dungeon loot

  One map per character per week, from "Purging the Vaults". Consume it and clear a Tier 8 or higher Delve — the hidden chest is 305 Hero 1/6. Below Tier 8 the map is wasted

  Baseline charges arrive every other week, so this will not be available at every reset — the weekly prompt is what stops one going unnoticed. Spend it to complete a 2-set or 4-set, never on a random eligible slot

  From the August 25 Vault onward, three or more reward panes in a week unlocks the Nebulous Voidcore bonus-roll alternative. Any mix of Raid, Dungeon and World panes counts

  Continuing the Prey questline opens Ossified Relics and the Haunted Brazier interactions used to summon Ral'kala — a repeatable solo source of Corrosive currencies and Champion/Hero crests. Optional: a raid or Mythic+ player's time is usually better spent in group content, but it is valuable for a solo-focused character

  Once "Umbral Blessings of the Catalyst" is done, Orin in Silvermoon City trades one extra Nebulous Voidcore a week for gold, Voidlight Marl or Veteran Mistcrests — an additional bonus roll for loot.

The 12.1 weekly loop. Vaults of Atal'Utek events are deliberately NOT listed individually - Temple Patrols run about every 10 minutes, Strikes trigger from Patrol participation and Incursions roughly hourly, which is repeatable farming rather than a weekly chore. 'Purging the Vaults' is how that content belongs on a tracker: one weekly quest that the farming feeds.

  Collect 100 Fading Voidwhispers. They drop from ordinary play — dungeons, delves, treasures and dangerous enemies — so this accumulates while you do other content.

  Select the Zul'jarra reputation reward from Halduron's dungeon weekly while you still need Renown.

• Purging the Vaults

  Complete Temple Patrols, Strikes and Incursions and defeat Ancient Foes in the Vaults of Atal'Utek. Suggested for 3 players. Requires the 12.1 story completed and Renown 2 with Zul'jarra's Forces - the same gate as the Veteran bracers, so both open together.

• World Boss / Lair — weekly lockout

  The Tidebound Grotto Lair in the 12.1 zone, which replaced the old world boss weekly. Nymrissa Wavecaller now runs at World, Normal, Heroic and Mythic — take the highest you can hold. Lair kills also count toward the Raid row of the Great Vault, which is what makes this efficient

  The Season 2 raid, 8 bosses, on the Coiled Isle. Bosses 2–6 carry Tier token opportunities and Ula’tek can drop a Curio used for a Tier choice. Raid Finder opened a wing at a time on Blizzard’s published schedule and ALL FOUR WINGS ARE NOW OPEN — the last unlocked September 8.

  The 12.1.5 single-boss raid beneath the Venomous Abyss, fought with Lady Liadrin. Story Mode, Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic and Mythic; Mythic takes a flexible 15–25 players.

• Sporefall — kill Rotmire

  Single-boss raid in Harandar near the Grudge Pit (LFR/Normal/Heroic/Flex Mythic 15-25). Use bonus rolls if targeting Rotmire loot; collect Sporefused gear/appearances. One Delicious Sporesnack/week → 4 for the Sporeglider mount

• Season 1 raids — clear desired difficulty

  The Voidspire, The Dreamrift, March on Quel'Danas. Catch-up content now that The Venomous Abyss is open — run them for transmog, mounts and the Season 1 tier set. Loot eligibility resets weekly by difficulty (Mythic uses stricter instance lockout)

  Max-level quest from Lady Liadrin; pick the fastest objective (WQs, Stormarion Assault waves, Nightmare Prey, BGs, dungeons/Delves, Arcantina when in rotation)

  A zone-wide public event in Eversong or Zul’Aman for ten minutes every hour: a run of public events — three combat and three non-combat scenario types, with one of eight affixes on combat ones — ending in a boss fight. Rewards run on a weekly lockout, and scale with how many objectives the group completes before the window closes.

Five weekly Motes complete the Folio, then it drops off your permanent weekly list. Persists all expansion.

  Earn the weekly Mote of Omnial Inquiry; unlock the next Folio node for your spec. The five weeklies cover Ritual Sites / Void Assaults / Dungeons-Delves-LFR / Val-Naigtal / Folio objectives

CATCH-UP CONTENT as of 12.1. Only one zone is active each week and the Voidstorm portal still swaps at weekly reset, but this is no longer the current-patch gearing path — run it to fill gaps and finish collections, not as your weekly priority. Void Assaults and Ritual Sites (below) remain relevant.
