Memory of Dimensions
Original Story Quest content added August 12. ✅ CONFIRMED PERMANENT (Aug 28 2026): the in-game page carries an explicit "Always Available" badge, which settles it more firmly than Netmarble’s written "until further notice". ⚠️ IT IS THEREFORE NOT 1.8 CONTENT IN THE SENSE THE REST OF THAT PATCH WAS — it merely arrived in 1.8, and must NOT be retired in a future patch sweep on the assumption that it expired with its neighbours. Further chapters are expected.
- Unlock the Memory of Dimensions tabMenu, then Book of Stars, then the Memory of Dimensions tabReward Access to the content
- Complete The Rusted Armor Knight's IdentitySelect the unlocked quest on the Memory of Dimensions screen and tap StartReward Star Fragments and clear rewards
Hunting Event unlock chain — extended to September 2
A four-step gate before the Hunt itself opens. The Event Dungeon is Abyss difficulty only and takes a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 15 players, matchmade solo or as a party of up to 5. ⚠️ EXTENDED: this was expected to die with the August 26 maintenance, but Netmarble amended the 2.0 notes that day and carried it through to SEPTEMBER 2. Unused Golden Sand Tokens go with it then.
- ends Aug 26Unlock and clear The Hermit Beneath the Sand0 / 4Work the chain in order — the Hunt does not appear until Beings of Deep Darkness is clearedReward Lichdragon's Roar Weapon Selection Chest on first clear; up to 1,000 Star Fragments, 550 Golden Sand Tokens and 100,000 Gold across the quests, plus 1,500 Star Fragments, 5 Desert Keeper's Keys and 25 Element Spell Bead Selection Chests from the missions
Timespace Junction — Season I ends September 2
⚠️ The hardest deadline currently on this game. Season I runs to SEPTEMBER 2 at 06:59:59 UTC — it did NOT end with the August 26 update, and Season II did not open then either. Anything unfinished on September 2 is gone rather than paused: all sectors reset and the mode restarts from Sector 1. SEASON II opens after the September 2 maintenance and changes the format — players may select ANY unlocked Sector instead of being forced through them in order, sectors unlock "periodically" rather than weekly, and some Season I bosses return alongside new ones. Ranking Season 4 (August 26 – September 16) already lists Timespace Junction Season 2 Sectors 1 & 2, so that half of the ranking only becomes playable on September 2. NO WEEKLY RESET IS CLAIMED FOR SEASON II and none should be added until Netmarble publishes the detailed schedule it has promised.
- before Sep 2Clear Timespace Junction Sector 11Opened after the August 12 temporary maintenance. Also one of the two Ranking Season 3 leaderboard categories, alongside the Boss ChallengeReward Sector clear rewards and leaderboard placement
Version 1.8 renewals
Path of the Hero and the ongoing Challenge Missions were revamped with better rewards on August 5. ⚠️ The new rewards are NOT retroactive — Netmarble states that if you have already completed a mission the revamped reward does not apply, and that new rewards apply only from missions progressed after the revamp. So there is nothing to reclaim on finished missions, and unfinished ones are now worth more than they were. ✅ CONFIRMED STILL LIVE AND ACCURATE (Aug 28 2026) — Path of the Hero and all three Challenge Missions tracks carry into 2.0 unchanged.
- Work through your remaining Path of the Hero objectivesRewards were revamped on August 5. Detail is in-game rather than publishedReward Revamped Path of the Hero rewards
- Finish Challenge Missions I — Run TogetherRenewed alongside Version 1.8Reward Revamped completion rewards
- Finish Challenge Missions II — To a Destiny Beyond!Renewed alongside Version 1.8Reward Revamped completion rewards
- Clear the currently available Challenge Missions III objectivesOngoing rather than fully released. Note that Netmarble's Version 1.8 notice lists only Challenge Missions I and II as revamped, so III may not carry the improved rewardsReward Completion rewards
Mastery revamp
Version 1.8 rebuilt Mastery. Nodes and EXP already earned were kept, so an established account can often claim several rewards immediately — if your existing progress already qualifies, the Claim Reward button is active straight away. Completing Shared Mastery unlocks four Masteries at once: the Special Mastery plus the three Weapon Masteries. Special Mastery is 4 tiers of 3 nodes and applies at all times regardless of the weapon you are using; each Weapon Mastery is 12 nodes activatable in any order, with an Obtain All button. This is per hero, so sweep every developed hero rather than only your main. ✅ CONFIRMED STILL ACTIVE (Aug 28 2026) — the Mastery sweep still has claimables, so this is not a spent 1.8 catch-up.
- Sweep every developed hero for claimable Mastery rewards0 / 4Hero Info, then Mastery. Check each hero you have invested in — the revamp may have unlocked rewards on progress you made months agoReward Mastery completion rewards, Potential Points, and the hero's 3 Crimson Flame weapons on full Special Mastery
Achievements, titles and crafting
Version 1.8 added 6 Achievements and 2 Titles, all tied to the new content. The Achievements cover the Hunting Event, Memory of Dimensions and Derieri; the Titles cover the Hunting Event and Memory of Dimensions. Two of the three Achievement sources close on August 26. ✅ ALL THREE CONFIRMED STILL ACTIVE (Aug 28 2026): the 6 achievements, the 2 titles and the Gluttonous Soul Gauntlets recipe are all still obtainable, so none of them retired with 1.8. Version 2.0 adds its OWN 8 achievements and 2 titles — those are separate entries below, not replacements for these.
- Complete the 6 new Version 1.8 AchievementsTied to the Hunting Event, Memory of Dimensions and Derieri. The Hunting Event ones are the time-limited halfReward Achievement rewards
- Unlock the 2 new TitlesTied to the Hunting Event and Memory of DimensionsReward Titles
- optionalUnlock the Gluttonous Soul Gauntlets recipeNew craftable weapon added in Version 1.8. Only worth pursuing if gauntlets suit a hero you actually playReward Gluttonous Soul Gauntlets
Version 2.0 — main progression
The spine of the patch. Act 16 opens Ravens, and Ravens is where most of the rest of 2.0 lives.
- Complete Main Quest Act 16 — "The Traitor’s Street"The new main-story chapter, continuing directly from the previous storyline and set mainly in the new city of Ravens. The clearest single piece of one-time progression in 2.0.Reward Story progression, Act 16 quest rewards
- Unlock and explore the Ravens regionA permanent new explorable region added alongside Act 16. Exploration discoveries and collectibles there are account progression and do not repeat. Ravens is also a Pet Expedition destination — that dispatch is a DAILY and is tracked separately as sdso-d-011.Reward Exploration collectibles, region unlocks
- Unlock Transcendence Engraving / RefinementBecomes available once an Engraved Equipment piece reaches +5. Transcendence adds up to 3 further bonuses — 2 Transcendence Bonuses plus 1 Transcendence Passive — with refinement gates at +5, +10 and +14. ⚠️ THE UNLOCK IS THE ONE-TIME PART. Upgrading individual pieces continues indefinitely afterwards and is deliberately not tracked, because it has no end state.Reward Access to the Transcendence growth tier
Version 2.0 — Ban
Gated on actually obtaining SSR Ban, so the whole group is inapplicable until then. Filed here rather than in the banner events because the unlock it grants is permanent.
- Unlock Ban’s 8 hidden "Supreme Feast" recipe upgradesRequires SSR Ban. His Adventure Skill "Supreme Feast" PERMANENTLY unlocks upgraded versions of eight existing dishes — Huge Steamed Fish, Meat Pie, Scotch Egg, Protein Bug Skewer, Protein Mushroom Stew, Quinoa Mushroom Stew, Date Pudding, and Fruit and Meat Pie. Worth tracking precisely because it is triggered by acquiring a hero rather than by doing anything, so it is easy to own and never notice.Reward 8 upgraded dish recipes
Version 2.0 — crafting and collection
Completionist rather than required. None of this gates progression; it is here so a collector can see what 2.0 added.
- Obtain the new 2.0 craftable equipment0 / 3New materials: Morion, Morion Alloy, Transcendence Engraving Stone.Reward Destroyer’s Obsession set (Top, Bottoms, Belt, Combat Boots), the Gluttonous Soul Nunchaku, and the Lichdragon’s Roar weapon series
- Capture the 2 newly added petsVersion 2.0 adds two capturable pets. ⚠️ Netmarble’s notes confirm the COUNT but do not name them, so the names are deliberately absent here rather than guessed.Reward Two new pets
Version 2.0 — achievements and titles
Separate from the six 1.8 achievements above, which are still live. These are additions, not replacements.
- Complete the 8 new Version 2.0 AchievementsCovering Pet Capture, Boss Challenge, Labyrinth, Main Quest and Ban objectives. ⚠️ The patch notes confirm there are eight but do not enumerate them, so no list is given here — check the Achievement menu after finishing Act 16.Reward 8 achievements
- Unlock the 2 new Version 2.0 Titles0 / 2⚠️ THE TWO ARE NOT ALIKE, and only one of them waits for you.Reward 2 titles
Version 2.0 — account rewards
Not content, but significant enough that missing it is worse than an untidy list.
- Claim your free SSR MeliodasThe tutorial summon now guarantees SSR Meliodas for new players. EXISTING players were sent him by MAILBOX after the August 26 maintenance — so this is a mail claim, not something you go and do. Anyone who already had Meliodas at Potential Tier 10 receives 180 Star Trace Crystalloids instead.Reward SSR Meliodas, or 180 Star Trace Crystalloids at Potential Tier 10
Labyrinth access — opens September 2
⚠️ THE ODD ONE OUT, AND IT IS FILED HERE ON PURPOSE: unlocking Labyrinth is a ONE-TIME action, but Labyrinth itself is a WEEKLY (sdso-w-009 in the weekly bucket). The unlock belongs here; the recurring clear belongs there. Splitting them is the only way both read correctly.
- Unlock Labyrinth accessRequires completing the Main Quest "Situation in the Village". Labyrinth opens with the SEPTEMBER 2 maintenance, not the August 26 launch — so this cannot be done on patch day. Once unlocked it resets Mondays at 07:00 UTC and is tracked as the weekly sdso-w-009.Reward Access to Labyrinth
