Crimson Desert — 100% Completionist Route
The full path to Pywel Legend and true 100% — with the one reordering that matters: pull the 141 Sealed Abyss Artifacts to the front, because they switch on Challenge tracking and most actions before that do not count.
What this guide is
A run-along checklist, not an article. Crimson Desert has no daily or weekly reset — progress here is permanent for a save, so nothing on this page clears itself. Tick steps off as you play.
The one thing this route does that a normal RPG guide does not: it front-loads the collectibles. Collect all 141 Sealed Abyss Artifacts early, because each Artifact unlocks a Challenge and many actions performed before their Challenge is unlocked do not count retroactively. Play naturally for a hundred hours first and you build yourself a huge cleanup grind. Everything downstream — Chapters, camp, exploration, combat — is ordered around getting the Artifacts and the Challenge system switched on before you sink real time into the world.
Two completion levels, and the route serves both. 🏆 Core completion is everything required for all 34 achievements / 35 PS5 trophies, including every Challenge category — that is the Platinum bar. ⭐ True 100% is core plus every quest and Knowledge category, major collectible, weapon, mount and pet objective, faction activity, camp upgrade and housing collection worth tracking. The True-100% extras live mostly in the later phases and are optional — they are checkboxes for a full completionist run, not requirements for Pywel Legend.
Updated for Crimson Desert Enhanced (2.01.00). Patch 2.00 (Enhanced) reworked the story presentation and added the Abyss Link system, eight new Kliff skills and new story Knowledge and memories; 2.01 is mainly bug and stability fixes. Rough completion time is ~200-300+ hours, longer for the true-100% extras. Pearl Abyss's upcoming DLC, Charting the Unknown, is deliberately NOT in this route yet — it will get its own postgame phase when it launches, rather than a rewrite of the base route.

Walkthrough
Verified for Crimson Desert Enhanced — 2.01.00✓ Verified in-gamePhase 0 — Start the completionist run11
The completionist golden rule: don't aggressively clear the world yet. Several Challenges need particular enemies, camps, bounties or weapons, and clearing everything early strands them. Re-Blockade makes enemy camps repeatable, but completing Challenge requirements before exhausting their natural sources is safer. Nine manual-save slots plus autosaves make a rotating save system worthwhile.

Phase 1 — Chapter 1 & essential systems13
Progress far enough to open the world and get the abilities exploration needs. Aim for roughly Refinement +5 → +6 before committing heavily to exploration — it makes the huge exploration phase ahead far easier.

- Unlock Novice Adventurer

- Begin gathering ore
- Begin gathering wood
- Pick up every new resource for Knowledge and Challenge progress
- Upgrade your primary equipment

- Reach roughly Refinement +5 to +6 before heavy exploration
Phase 2 — Reveal Pywel (Hidden Bells)20
Do this much earlier than a casual playthrough would. Eight Hidden Bells reveal the map; Bell 8 (Pailune) is story-gated, so reveal everything currently accessible and return for it later. Grab what your route passes — but don't turn this into full regional completion yet. Your priority is unlocking the Challenge system.

Phase 3 — The 141 Sealed Abyss Artifacts9
The most important phase in the guide. Each Artifact unlocks a Challenge, and many actions done BEFORE unlocking their Challenge don't count retroactively — so collect the Artifacts before sinking dozens of hours into quests and world activities, or you create a large cleanup grind. Artifacts aren't marked on the world map; they show as purple minimap icons nearby and can be detected through Guiding Light. Suggested route: Hernand → accessible neighbouring regions → Demeniss / Calphade → remaining unlocked regions → Pailune after story access. Think of this phase as preparing the save to actually begin 100%.

Phase 7 — Exploration Sweep I9
With Challenges unlocked and your character reasonably strong, start systematically completing Pywel. These nine groups collectively form the exploration requirement for Expert Explorer (audited in Phase 15). Repeatable regional pattern: Bell → Fast Travel → Settlements → Quests → Abyss → Spires → Sanctums → Ruins → Secret Places → Caves → Wildlife → Resources → Challenges → final map sweep. Story-gated exploration (some Abyss content, Pailune) finishes in Phases 13 and 15.

Phase 9 — Life & world systems11
These aren't disposable minigames — they're part of the route. The insect/arthropod Knowledge and the 100-cave requirement are especially easy to leave until the end by accident, so register Knowledge immediately and track caves as you go.
